No one argues the deficit needs to be controlled and reduced at some point in the near future before it becomes not only a drag on the economy but on future generations. No one knows who will be elected president in 2012 or what the political landscape will be like. Democrats are running scared, Republicans are running scare, no doubt Obama is running scared with upcoming mid-term elections for Congress. Sadly to say, Obama's future could easily be muddled after November if conservative Republicans gain control over one or both houses of Congress like they did during Bill Clinton's mid-term. But then, in all honesty, Obama and Democrats are greatly to blame for what losses may ensue. 1994 was good year for the GOP. Republicans had Newt Gingrich and his contract with America and plenty of socially charged fodder and liberal bashing, to fuel a takeover of congress after Bill Clinton's triumphant walk into Washington in 1992. Today, the enemy at hand and the socialist at hand is Barrack Obama. Conservatives would like nothing more than to topple the Obama revolution and hamstring government for the next 4 or maybe 8 years with conservative junk food and antics.
