About Blades of Grass

Blades of Grass is the brainchild of Ted Manolatos who is a cum laud graduate of public relations with a bachelors of science from Virginia Commonwealth University. Ted left VCU in 1995 to discover the whirlwind of technological growth in the 90's, venturing into computer technology, web design and graphic design as well as web programming. He is currently a freelancer who develops websites, graphics and copy for small clients around Virginia and beyond. Ted considers himself a political independent that may sometimes see value in either side or neither side. He often comes to his own positions on his own gut instincts and feelings about issues.

Ted's interests include music and sound production which he first ventured into in 2005 after a friend inspired him to take the leap of faith by giving him his first guitar. While Ted may not yet be a "Mick Jagger" or produce commercial quality CD's just yet, he is learning yet another great thing and improving ever so slowly. He also enjoys writing his own original songs from time to time.

Aside from technology and music, Ted enjoys amateur photography and writing (of course) and loves the beach as well as the mountains among many other things. Basically Ted's motto is "create" and that is what drives him to the core -creativity and creating something from nothing if he can. Ted is an individualist and a political independent who leans democratic but does not always agree with either side or one side but rather stakes out his own position. His editorials may at times rile many sentiments from many people but he feels that is the sole purpose of the writing arts.
